PHOSPHATES FOR FOOD

The Food grade phosphates of Eco-Agri are classified into specialty and blended phosphates. Food grade phosphates find application in the food processing industry as buffers, emulsifiers, nutrients and discoloration inhibitors. They are mainly used in frozen and cured meat, fisheries, bakery products, milk, cheese, powdered food, breakfast cereals as well as in pet food, animal feed products and dehydrated potatoes. They are also used in making toothpastes. The blended phosphates provide synergistic effect in seafood, meat and cheese applications. 

Our product range
  • Dipotassium phosphate, a buffering agent and as an emulsifier in the production of coffee creamer.
  • Monosodium phosphate, used in applications such as animal feed, toothpaste and evaporated milk.
  • Sodium acid pyrophosphate, used as a leavening agent in bakery products seafood canning and in potato Treatment.
  • Sodium hexametaphosphate, used in dairy products, sausages, seafood and meat processing.
  • Sodium tripolyphosphate, used in meat processing, seafood, frozen shrimps, sausages and modified starches.
  • Tetrasodium pyrophosphate, used in meat processing, seafood, pet food, tooth paste and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic.
  • Blended phosphates, provide a synergistic effect in seafood, meat and cheese applications and improve the end products. They are used in raw and cooked shrimp, meat sausages, salami, surimi, meatballs, fish fillets and chicken. They are also widely used in processed cheese.
